I love designing silk flower arrangements because they’re green. They can be recycled for every season and every personal space, and they don’t die! I am passionate about green design and feel that using vases and containers from local thrift stores is one way that I can help the environment. These vases can be painted or decoupaged or most of the time just cleaned up and they are ready to go. I think the most important thing to remember when designing is that I am not designing for me, but for YOU. What you want is really what it’s all about and at the end of the day My Flowers, made you happy and that’s what I call a WIN-WIN. Sunflowers and Purple Wreath

I used a box look for the sunflowers and the tabletop wreath is bright and bold.

Vases are recycled and purchased from thrift stores. Doll jeans and straw purse make a perfect statement.

Hampton Tulips and Flower Cart

Using recycled vases is so fun and makes me feel good. The blue and white pitcher is vintage and the grapevine flower cart is just cute!

Pansy Purse and Asian Red

The wooden purse was a great find and works perfectly as a vase. The ceramic vase matches the flowers I chose for continuity.

Garden Pitcher and Tuscan Rose

Both vases are recycled and the flowers were added to compliment the containers style.

For the love of Poppies

I picked up the container at a local thrift store and the poppies fit perfectly with the vase and with my poppy drawing background.

Forsythia and Paper Orchids

There are tons of ceramic pieces at the thrift stores just crying out for a purpose. I love using kitchen pitchers and bowls as vases.

Mosaic Hydrangeas and Roses

These top heavy designs are very popular and I like them because they look so lush and full. Vases are recycled.

Custom Floral Project

Part of a custom order where I designed for specific areas of the home. I used many of the clients vases and flowers again recycling.

Maid of Honor bouquet was for clients daughter and we used the same flowers just smaller.

The bride brought me a picture that she liked and I basically used that for inspiration. I changed up the flowers and brought in her colors with the ribbon.

Young and colorful was this brides wish. I used spring wildflowers and hand tied the bouquets.

Pumpkin Contest

Carving these foam pumpkins is a breeze and the sky is the limit with endless possibilities. These pumpkins can be carved, painted, stuffed and stacked and they are green!

Floral Design School

Design school was awesome and I loved it. We worked exclusively with fresh flowers and covered traditional venues such as wedding and sympathy flowers.
